Community and Critique: SEAF Cohort 4 launches at Warehouse421

Exhibition exploring emerging creative talent showcases artworks by artists of the Salama bint Hamdan Emerging Artists Fellowship (SEAF)

Warehouse421 has launched an exhibition marking the culmination of the yearlong Salama bint Hamdan Emerging Artists Fellowship programme (SEAF), running until 18 January 2018. Community and Critique: SEAF Cohort 4 features works by fifteen emerging artists who have recently completed this unique fellowship programme, highlighting Warehouse421’s mission to support emerging creative talent in the region.

SEAF is an intensive 10-month arts education and development programme for promising UAE-based artists supported by the Salama bint Hamdan Al Nahyan Foundation in partnership with the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), one of the world’s leading fine arts schools. Offering artists a platform to develop their practice and display their talent to a broad and diverse audience, the exhibition means bringing their artworks outside the intimacy of the SEAF studios and into the culture and wider community of the city.

As a creative community hub, Warehouse421 also encourages members of the public to explore their own creativity through interactive initiatives. The upcoming season of the popular Wednesdays at the Warehouse programme will also include a series of talks, workshops and activities linked to the Community and Critique: SEAF Cohort 4 exhibition.
